We were honored to be selected as one of ten startups in the second cohort of 51 Labs, MATTER’s accelerator program focused on preventing maternal mortality in the U.S.

Backed by leading health organizations—including the University of Chicago Medicine, Stryker, and Health Care Service Corporation—the 12-week program was designed to help startups scale solutions that save lives before, during, and after birth.

At Expect, we train women for the marathon of pregnancy and postpartum with OB/GYN-approved fitness designed to reduce complications and improve outcomes. Being part of 51 Labs helped us strengthen our impact and deepen our clinical partnerships as we continued our mission to improve maternal health outcomes.

Expect stood alongside an inspiring group of innovators. The final showcase took place on May 22, where all teams presented their solutions to a community of healthcare leaders and investors.
